were we talking about this?

This is the scientology website I was talking about before. It's hilariously creepy to the point of being infuriating!

One curious aspect of Scientology's ideology is that children are not actually treated as children. Hubbard claimed that human beings are actually immortal spirits or "thetans," trillions of years old, housed in "meat bodies." An individual's body might be ten years old or thirty, but the thetan - the person himself - would be entitled to equal treatment regardless of physical age.

Wait, wait. Am I reading this correctly? Scientology is trying to claim it created the concepts of tutoring, teaching against crime and drug use? Apparently, these very old ideas are actually only abut 15-20 years old?

Wow. Remind me to punch the next scientologist I meet. At least when they all drink their kool-aid, we'll be better off as a race.
